For the last two weeks  we were making Siapo clothes. They are a Samoan cloth that were made way back in the day and then they would be passed on through generations and given on certain milestones like marriage and other milestones. This is how we made them first we practiced the designs on a piece of paper next we drew the best design we made on the piece of brown paper aka the good copy after that we used vivids on the lines finally we scrunched it up then unscrunched it. Then your finished here’s a quick question have you seen a siapo tapa.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is a 15 day celebration that falls between January 21 and February 20. It is celebrated by millions of people worldwide.

Some of the traditions are cleaning houses to sweep away bad luck, decorating houses with red lanterns and banners for good fortune, and wearing red clothes because red is a lucky colour.

During the festival families eat big feasts, and after that, they eat vegetarian food to rest their stomachs. They use fireworks to scare away bad spirits, and they give hóngbāo to children and unmarried couples. They get money in red envelopes.
